Day Camp Goals & Philosophy

At the Headfirst Day Camp, we provide a safe, nurturing and fun-filled environment for the younger camper. Our dedicated, experienced and well-trained teacher/early childhood staff introduces campers to summer camp exploration while fostering personal growth and development. Day campers learn new skills, try new things, gain confidence and grow in ways that will benefit them long after the program is over. Every week, Headfirst Day Camp aims for a counselor to camper ratio of 4:1.

Whether it is through music, imagination, swimming, sports or fun, our goal is to build self-confidence and to create a positive experience through positive energy. At Headfirst, our day campers learn, have fun and are continually encouraged to realize their potential and seek out their dreams. Activities are child-centered, and emphasize social development, character development, leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship. The goal in each activity is to build self-esteem by encouraging children to feel capable and confident in their abilities. Effort over results is the philosophy upon which Headfirst Camps was built.
