Day Camp Overview

Headfirst Day Camp is for the young or first-time camper who enjoys a fun mix of creative activities, games, swimming and sports. This camp is specially designed for 3½–6 year olds who are ready to explore, play and make new friends in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Each week at Headfirst Day Camp is new and exciting, as we explore and celebrate a new theme.

Under the supervision of Headfirst’s experienced adult staff, day campers have fun, develop new skills, try new things, gain confidence and grow in ways that will benefit them long after the program is over. Every week, Headfirst aims for a counselor to camper ratio of 4:1 in our Day Camp programs. Please note, all campers must be toilet-trained.

Throughout the week campers participate in the following activities:

Instructional Swimming*
New theme every week
Martial Arts
Intro to sports including soccer, t-ball, basketball, kickball
The Headfirst Rock Wall
Music and movement
Fun science projects
Intro to basic cooking
Creative and performing arts
Leadership and team building activities
Moonbounce and other fun camp activities

*Swimming depends on location. No swimming in McLean location;
water play will be the substitute.

Hours: Full day 9:00–3:00
